The manual recommends never using a dishwasher, detergents, or immersing the base of the unit in water when cleaning. Instead, it instructs users to follow a detailed process involving swirling water in the tank and soaking components in a white vinegar solution for a total of 30 to 40 minutes. It took us a full 45 minutes, including the soaking time, to follow the instructions step by step. However, the fully accessible water tank and removable parts make it easy to access all areas that need to be cleaned.

Runtime

The Levoit Classic has exceptional runtime in our testing. In order to evaluate run time, we filled the humidifier base with the minimal amount of water required to operate. Once the humidifier stopped we placed an additional 50 ml of water directly into the base. Afterward, we recorded the duration until each device shuts off on each setting offered.

The Levoit Classic model offers low, medium, and high settings. We tested it on each setting, and the runtimes were 41 minutes (low setting), 17 minutes (medium), and 11 minutes (high), respectively. Due to the high output by the Levoit, this is a solid performance.

Operating Cost
