Ross Patton

Ross was born to a chairlift mechanic father and a research biologist mother, he falls somewhere in between. During his childhood, he either spent his summers hopping in the work truck with his dad to go to the local ski resort or looking through microscopes and helping with gel electrophoresis in his mom's neurogenetics lab.

With a diverse background that ranges from completing his Bachelor of Environmental Science degree at the University of Nevada, Reno to running heavy equipment and power tools for large residential tree services, to being the head distiller at a craft distillery Ross has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Having professionally used a vast array of tools, electronics, gear, and equipment he has honed his attention to detail and has the ability to put products to a true, rigorous test.

With more than ten years of product research and development in the snowboard industry, he is no stranger to hunting down even the tiniest of technical considerations to create world-class reviews. In his free time, you can find him searching the backcountry for the perfect snowboard jump or wrenching on his snowmobile. His summers are spent mountain biking, hiking, and camping around the Sierra with his hound dog Broadus.
